Reach 2

Location

Reach 2 of the Nooksack River extends from the Guide Meridian to the I-5 bridge in Ferndale. 

Team Members

The Reach 2 Team is comprised of a diverse group of stakeholders representing the interests of farms, fish, and flood mitigation. Reach 2 is supported technically by consulting engineers, geomorphologists, and biologists. 

Status

The Reach 2 Team met in 2020 to develop shared values, share reach information, and generate ideas and possible solutions to address flood risk reduction and salmon recovery within the reach that align with the shared values of the team members. Input from the Reach 2 Team is an integral part of the Floodplain Integrated Planning (FLIP) process.
