Update for 10/31: Grinding and paving are being done on W. Badger Rd from SR-539 Guide Meridian to Jackman Rd and Trapline Rd from Timon Rd to Hampton Rd, including the intersection. Drivers should expect delays of up to 15 minutes and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Whatcom County’s Small Area Paving Program is anticipated to start the week of October 28, 2024. Drivers should expect delays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. at seven locations near Ferndale and the Lummi Nation, including:
- Marine Drive between Jones Lane and Hoff Road
- Bridge #5 – Marine Drive
- Bridge #7 – Ferndale Road
- Bridge #8 – Hillaire Road
- Bridge #11 – Haxton Way
- Bridge #513 – Slater Road
- Kwina Road between Haxton Way and Hillaire Road
Paving operations include single-lane closures with traffic-flagging personnel. Please use alternate routes whenever possible to avoid extended wait times. This work is weather-dependent and subject to change.
