Boards & Commissions

Community members who require special assistance
to participate in a committee meeting are asked to contact
the meeting facilitator at least 4 business days in advance.

Volunteer advisory groups, such as boards, commissions, committees, and task forces, serve our community by advising policy makers and providing essential support to county programs and activities. Each advisory group has a specific purpose and is governed by operating statutes. Serving on a Whatcom County advisory group affords citizens the opportunity to participate in the countywide effort to address many important issues.

The Whatcom County Council and County Executive make appointments.
