This project includes installing a water quality treatment facility associated with the Eagleridge neighborhood in the Lake Whatcom watershed. The Eagleridge development is approximately 34 acres, and runoff from this development will be routed through a facility to help remove sediments and phosphorus before entering Lake Whatcom.
County staff have hired an engineering consultant to conduct an existing site conditions and alternatives analysis study to provide recommended proposed facility retrofits and associated costs. This will be followed by the preparation of engineered improvements design, permitting coordination, and construction bid contract documents. A future amendment will fund construction costs. Construction is tentatively scheduled for the summer of 2025.
