Due to inclement weather, all lane striping and pavement marking activities are postponed after the holiday weekend. This work is weather-dependent and requires dry conditions and pavement. In the meantime, please drive cautiously and be attentive to the temporary yellow centerline. Also, be aware that crews will still work in the wet weather to place gravel along driveway entrances and shoulders and to wrap up the remaining minor utility work.
Given the delayed lane striping work, the posted parking restrictions will not be in effect today through Monday. However, please respect the ‘no parking’ signs if and when they are back out next week. These restrictions prevent vehicles from conflicting with paint lines or becoming stranded behind wet paint.
We greatly appreciate the Birch Bay community’s continued patience and understanding during this project. Rest assured, the county and its contractor are making every effort to complete the project as quickly as possible.
