Whatcom Water Week Returns September 14-22, 2024

Celebrate our local water resources during Whatcom Water Week, September 14 – 22, 2024. Water Week offers many different family-friendly events throughout Whatcom County with opportunities to have fun, learn, and make a difference. Visit the Whatcom Water Week website for a complete calendar of events and details. There’s something for everyone!

Activities include:

  • Kid Events- Marine Life Center, Story Walks, Story Time, Wild Things exploration, Whatcom Museum Green Roof Tour, and Library Explorers
  • Family Events- Run with the Chums, Farm Tour, Birch Bay Family Field Day, Whatcom Creek Info Booth, Bellingham Dockside Market
  • Adult Education- Protecting Whatcom Waterways Discussion, Water Adjudication Overview
  • Adult Events- Ladies Night Out Hike, ROAM and Whatcom Land Trust Bingo, Cornhole Tournament, Stones Throw Trivia
  • Volunteer Events- Whatcom Creek Work Party, NSEA Salmon Spotters Training, Gulf Road Beach Cleanup
  • Tours in Bellingham- Stormwater Discovery Self-guided Tour, Bellingham Water Treatment Plan Tour, Bellingham Wastewater Treatment Plant Tour, Little Squalicum Estuary Tour, Nooksack River Habitat Tour, Out and About Queer Critters

Whatcom Water Week is organized by the Whatcom Watersheds Information Network (WWIN). WWIN’s mission is to protect and restore our local waters and watersheds by supporting and enhancing information exchange, education, public involvement and engagement, and collaboration.
