The project was completed in 2023 and further improved an inlet and the associated berm constructed in 2017. The earthen berm failed in the November 2021 storm event, causing flooding on private property downstream of the inlet. This project replaced the earthen berm with a concrete retaining wall with an overflow spillway, which helped keep flood water within the County right of way and ultimately in County storm sewers.
