Whatcom County Public Works has completed the design of the multi-lane roundabout with our consultant, Transpo Group. The project successfully obligated $3,952,642 in federal funds, including $2,500,000 in Surface Transportation Block Grant funds, $1,000,000 in Highway Safety Improvement Program funds, and $452,642 in Carbon Reduction Program funds.
The project is planned to be advertised for bids beginning on Nov. 1, 2023, with bids opening on Dec. 5, 2023. Construction of the roundabout is planned to start in June 2024.
