N. Lake Samish Bridge No. 107
Project Update-April 2023
This project was recently advertised for competitive bids. However, the County received only one bid, approximately $800,000 over the estimated construction costs. Due to this bid exceeding the available budget, the project was not awarded to the bidder. The project will be re-advertised for competitive bids in the fall of 2023, with construction anticipated to begin in late May 2024.
As a result of the delay, Samish Park will now be open in the summer of 2023 (the park was initially slated to be closed the entire summer to accommodate the project).
