The Whatcom County Council is currently holding all meetings in a hybrid format unless otherwise noted. Members of the public are welcome to join meetings in person, online, or via phone. View meeting schedules, agendas, minutes, videos, and archives in the Legislative Information Center. Individuals who require special assistance to participate in the Council's meetings are asked to contact the Council Office at 360-778-5010 at least 96 hours in advance.

Regular Whatcom County Council meetings take place in Council Chambers, located at 311 Grand Avenue in Bellingham, WA. Accessible parking is available near the south entrance of the Courthouse. 

Meetings of the full Council start at 6 p.m. unless otherwise noted. A complete schedule of upcoming Council meetings is available in the Legislative Information Center

If you plan on speaking to the Council during a public hearing or open session, please note:

  • Each speaker has three minutes to speak and may speak only once.
  • All live testimony will be broadcast, recorded, and retained for the public record. 
  • In accordance with Whatcom County Code 02.02.040(O) Meetings - General rules, members of the public who make slanderous or boisterous remarks will be dismissed from the meeting.
